I had so much fun at the 6th Annual Chili Cookoff at Fishhawk Ranch. It was very fascinating tasting all 18 of the chilis.
My favorite chili was #11 from The Broussard Family. It was beanless and they used red and green chili powder from The Hatch Chili Express in New Mexico. They also served it with Fritos, sour cream, cheese, Tobasco, and onions.
They won 1st place in the People’s Choice Awards. My aunt and I both voted for them, so we were very happy they won.
I am planning on entering next year, either with my aunt or by myself. Next year I hope that you can come, taste my chili and (hopefully) vote for me to win!

Of course they won, silly, nilly! They’re friends of mine — Tammy & Mike! I’ll bet they used real chilis from Hatch’s in New Mexico. She orders them special. I sure wish I could have gone, but I’m glad you were in awe! Love you, sweetie!

Sounds like a fun day. How many different kinds of chilli did you taste? Do you like the really spicy ones or the more mild ones? I like your blog!!

Would Sage like to post her blog entries on Bloomingdale-Riverview Patch? All I need is an email address and we can get her set up as an official Patch blogger. She can use the same blogs she uses on her Cupcake.Frogendotz blog.
